2 Corinthians 1:20
God’s Promise
Christmas is the fulfillment of a promise.
For thousands of years, God promised a Savior.
And in Bethlehem, He kept
His promise.
Every promise God makes, He keeps. “Yes” in Christ.
Not maybe. Not someday.
Yes. Already done because “It is finished”.
Guaranteed. Certain.
You might be waiting on a promise right now. Hoping.
Believing. Wondering if God will come through.
Christmas says: He will. He always does. It might not be in your timing or the way you expect, but God keeps His word.
God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill?” (Numbers 23:19).
No. What God promises, God performs.
Hold on to His promises.
They are “Yes” in Christ.
They are sure. They are yours.
Pause and Reflect:
What promise from God are you holding onto right now?
How does Christmas - the fulfilled promise - give you confidence to keep believing?
Let us pray:
Faithful God, thank You that every word You speak is true and that You always keep Your promises.
I place my trust in You today, believing that what You have spoken You will bring to pass.
You were faithful to send a Savior just as You promised, and I know You will be faithful in my life as well.
Strengthen my faith as I wait and remind me that Your timing is perfect.
In the name of the Lord of Lords and King of Kings Jesus Christ I pray.
Amen.
