Let me begin by saying I am not Catholic, however - The Catholic Church, and the process of selecting a Pope are both topics which have fascinated me for quite some time and are both topics which I have spent some time researching.
Pope Francis’ health has been front and center over the last few weeks as the 88 year old Pontiff has encountered multiple ailments and is currently hospitalized while fighting pneumonia. He has suffered two respiratory emergencies during this hospital stay but as of the time of this article, he is stable.
Catholics the world over have been advised to take to the Rosary and pray for Pope Francis. I have to admit, from a standpoint of logic and reason, it isn’t looking good for him.
But I digress …
My aim in this article is to take a look at some of the candidates which seem to have the strongest case for becoming the next Pope of the Catholic Church, and what candidate, if any, has the potential to reshape the Catholic Church. With Conservatism on the rise, and many countries leaning to the right, one would have to consider the Catholic Church going back to its’ conservative ideologies would be yet another huge win on the global stage for those fighting to stave off world wide communism.
Before we get there. How is a Pope elected? What does this process look like?
This short clip will give a brief overview of what I will be discussing:
The process of electing a new Pope is known as a “Papal Conclave”. A college of Cardinals is convened with the purpose of electing a new Bishop of Rome, or The Pope. Conclaves are held in the Sistine Chapel, and are highly secretive in so far as there are no witnesses, no cameras, no audio … nothing. Plenty is known about the process, mind you - it is just kept under lock and key and these voting sessions are highly secured.
The Chapel is locked down, shutters cover the windows, no electronics are allowed, Vatican City disconnects WiFi services, and they even install signal jammers at the Sistine Chapel.
Cardinals are also kept sequestered - much the same way a jury would be sequestered during a trial.
Conclaves are open to Cardinals of the Catholic Church aged 80 or younger. The Conclave after Pope Francis either passes away or steps away will be the most inclusive in history with 138 Cardinals eligible to participate in the voting process.
The process itself can be quite tedious, with a two-thirds majority needed in order to elect a new Pope. The shortest Conclave in history was in 1939 when Pope Pius XII was elected on only the third ballot after about 24 hours.
On the flip side - The longest Conclave in history was held from November 1268, until September of 1271, and ending with the election of Pope Gregory X. The reason for the unusually long Conclave was infighting and political division within the church. I only make that point because the Church is nearly as politically divided right now as it ever has been, and it may bear keeping that fact in mind as the odds are we will have a Conclave relatively soon.
From the moment a Pope dies, a very formal and centuries old tradition is set in motion. Once the camerlengo (High Ranking Vatican Official) confirms the death of the Pope, the Pope’s signet ring will be destroyed thus preventing its future use.
After that, a public announcement is made and this then kicks off a 9 day period of mourning known as “Novemdiales”. During this period, the Pope’s body will be placed in St. Peter’s Basilica for viewing and special prayers and masses will take place throughout the Catholic Church.
The Pope’s burial will typically occur within 4-6 days of his death. This period of time in between Popes is referred to as “Sede Vacante” or “The seat is vacant”. During this time, the College of Cardinals assumes control of the Church and no major decisions will be made regarding the Church until a new Pope is elected.
The Papal Conclave traditionally takes place 2-3 weeks after the funeral. The voting process itself is very simple and straightforward. Ballots are cast until a two-thirds majority is reached. The average Conclave lasts between 2-4 days. Pope Francis was elected after 2 days, Pope Benedict was elected after 2 days as well.
In this clip, we hear from a Cardinal what it is like to be involved in a Conclave:
Of course, when there is no consensus on a new Pope after a ballot, black smoke will then billow from the chimney - when a Pope is finally elected, white smoke will then billow from the chimney.
After this, the new Pope will then be introduced to the world from the balcony overlooking St. Peters Square.
So, now that we’re a little more familiar with the process of a Papal Conclave, who are the most likely candidates to become the next Pope of the Catholic Church, and what implications might that have in the grand scheme of the great awakening?
Cardinal Pietro Parolin - Italy
Parolin is the current Secretary Of State for The Vatican. He hails from Italy, and he is known to be fairly moderate in a political sense, but many also say his election as Pope would serve to merely continue the policies and direction of Pope Francis.
Parolin has served as Pope Francis’ top aide and closest advisor for 11 years now, and many consider him to be the favorite to become the next Pope.
It is important to note that he is not a supporter of same-sex marriage. He is also more traditional in the sense of how he believes the Church should be directed. He has also spoken out against those within the Church that wish to do away with celibacy, He represented The Vatican for many trips and important assignments, including North Korea, Vietnam and China. He also visited Moscow in 2017, becoming the first Secretary Of State for the Catholic Church to do so in 58 years.
He has shown strong support for Ukraine, while also calling out Israel for their current war in Gaza. In addition, he has also pushed the climate change agenda pretty hard. He has also been a friend of the United Nations, and was instrumental in facilitating the deal between China and The Holy See.
This clip gives some reasons as to why Parolin may not have that great a chance of becoming the next Pope:
Parolin was appointed a Cardinal by Pope Francis in 2014.
Cardinal Fridolin Ambongo Besungu - Democratic Republic Of Congo
Everything I just laid out about Cardinal Parolin? Yeah, throw it out the window with Cardinal Besungu.
He currently serves as the Archbishop Of Kinshasa.
He is known to be quite conservative. Including directly opposing Pope Francis when it came to same-sex marriages. He flat out opposed Fiducia Supplicans (the 2023 Catholic Doctrine which allowed for blessings of same-sex marriage and Non-Catholics) saying that “it is a kind of Western imperialism”, and that pushing same-sex marriage on the African culture is akin to colonization.
He has also faced allegations of being caught on tape saying “Western morales are decadent” - to which I say, he isn’t exactly wrong.
I also would not classify him as a climate alarmist, although he does fight for renewable energy. Saying that “I see nothing wrong with natural resources”.
A win in the Papal Conclave by Cardinal Besungu would be an absolute 180 from where the Church sits and would definitely pose a sharp contrast to the papacy of Pope Francis.
The following clip goes into a little more on Besungu’s history and background:
Besungu was appointed a Cardinal by Pope Francis in 2019.
Cardinal Wim Eijk - Netherlands
Cardinal Eijk is viewed as one of the most conservative amongst the frontrunners to become the next Pope.
Eijk currently serves as the Metropolitan Archbishop of Utrecht.
Eijk is a former Medical Doctor. In 2015 he helped write “Eleven Cardinals Speak on Marriage & the Family: Essays from a Pastoral Viewpoint”, which feverently opposed Pope Francis’ endorsement of civil remarriages in instances when an annulment had not taken place from the first marriage. Eijk stated “They are a form of structured and institutionalized adultery”.
He was also critical of Pope Francis’ inability to stop the proposal for Protestants to receive Eucharist in the Catholic Church. Eijk referred to Pope Francis’ stance as “completely incomprehensible”.
Eijk, much like Besungu, would represent a sharp contrast to the stances and policies held by Pope Francis, and would no doubt take the Church in a much more conservative and traditional direction.
More on Eijk here:
Eijk was appointed a Cardinal by Pope Benedict XVI in 2012.
Cardinal Peter Erdo - Hungary
Cardinal Erdo is another very strong conservative, and a devout Marian.
He currently serves as the Archbishop of Esztergom-Budapest.
He is against previously divorced or remarried Catholics receiving Communion due to his belief that marriage is insoluble, and he has also been very outspoken about European countries accepting refugees, and has said it is “tantamount to human trafficking”
Erdo also possesses PhD’s in both Theology, and Canon Law. He also fought strongly for the rehabilitation of Cardinal Mindszenty after he had been wrongly arrested and imprisoned by a Communist outfit sympathetic to the Nazi cause in WWII.
As with Besungu, and Eijk - Erdo is another very staunch conservative who represents a stark contrast to the policies of Pope Francis.
This video is a bit long, but again will provide a good bit of information on Cardinal Erdo:
Erdo was appointed a Cardinal by Pope John Paul II in 2003.
Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle - Philippines
Cardinal Tagle is known for his liberal views and stances within the Catholic Church.
He currently serves as the Pro-Prefect of the Section of the First Evangelization of the Dicastery for Evangelization.
From 2011-2020 he served as the Archbishop of Manila.
He has often been called the “Asian Pope Francis”, and it doesn’t take much digging into Cardinal Tagle to understand why that is. He has been critical of the Church’s treatment of LGBT people and divorced/remarried Catholics. He has stated that the Church’s “severe” stance on those topics has hindered its ability to evangelize people.
Tagle is only the 7th man to be named a Cardinal from the Philippines, and would be the first Pope elected from the Asian continent if he were elected.
If Tagle were elected, it would effectively serve as another Pope Francis papacy - probably even more so than if Parolin were elected.
For more on Cardinal Tagle, watch this video:
Tagle was appointed a Cardinal by Pope Benedict XVI in 2012.
Cardinal Raymond Burke - United States
Cardinal Burke is yet another very strong conservative Cardinal, and is considered by many to be the strongest front runner of all the conservatives mentioned to this point.
He currently serves as the American Prelate to the Catholic Church. He is a Patron Emeritus of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta. He has also served as the Archbishop of St. Louis.
Burke is a Canon Lawyer, and is a proponent for the Latin Mass and has been a very vocal critic of Pope Francis and many of his policies. He opposed the Church’s decision to allow Eucharist to divorced and remarried couples, and also challenged the Church’s new positions on topics such as artificial conception, homosexuality, and civil marriage as “objectionable”
Cardinal Burke also referred to Donald Trump’s election win as a “wake up call for America”, and has the full support of President Trump to become the next Pope.
Below is a quote from Cardinal Burke after the election:
If Burke is elected, he would become the first Pope from the United States Of America, and to date - Burke has a stronger chance than any other American in history at becoming Pope.
In this video, Cardinal Burke discusses keeping Satan out:
Burke was appointed a Cardinal by Pope Benedict XVI in 2010.
Cardinal Mario Grech - Malta
Cardinal Grech is considered moderate both politically and within the Church. However, it should be noted that is also known as a “Protege of Pope Francis.”
He currently serves as the Secretary General of the Synod of Bishops.
He has spoken on the necessity of the Church to reach out to those it had previously ostracized due to their marriage status or sexuality. However, that should not necessarily be construed as his support for either. Have a look at his words pertaining to the matter below:
If elected Pope, odds are that Grech would take the Church in a more traditional direction, albeit - while also working within the “grey area” more than many Catholics would be comfortable with. While moderate, he still lies further left than center.
For more on Cardinal Grech, watch the video below:
Grech was appointed Cardinal by Pope Francis in 2020.
Cardinal Matteo Zuppi - Italy
Cardinal Zuppi is an insider for Pope Francis and considered another favorite to become the next Pope.
He currently serves as the President of the Italian Episcopal Conference. He has also served as the Archbishop of Bologna, and is known to be pretty far left in a lot of his social, and Catholic beliefs.
When the Catholic Church sent someone to meet with President Zelenskyy in Ukraine, it was Zuppi. When the Catholic Church sent someone to meet with Resident Biden, it was Zuppi.
He is a supporter of Pope Francis’ views on the LGBT community as well as various other controversial, and far left, policies that Francis instituted in the Church. Much like Parolin and Tagle, and election of Cardinal Zuppi as the next Pope would merely serve as a continuation of Pope Francis’ papacy.
This video goes into Cardinal Zuppi’s background a little more:
Cardinal Zuppi was appointed a Cardinal by Pope Francis in 2019.
Cardinal Robert Sarah - Guinea
Cardinal Sarah is arguably the most conservative Cardinal on this list.
He currently serves as a Guinean Catholic Prelate, and once served as the Prefect for the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of sacraments.
Cardinal Sarah has bumped heads with Pope Francis on numerous occasions. He is staunchy against gender ideology as well as gay marriage. He is a strong traditionalist who has also spoken out against political corruption within the Church. In addition, he is a supporter of celibacy, and is not a supporter of Eucharist being offered to the divorced or remarried.
He is in strong opposition to abortion, and believes in the right to live.
He has condemned United States military involvement in the Middle East, but has also been very outspoken against Radical Islam while acknowledging the need of Muslims and Christians to work together in order to reach peace.
Cardinal Sarah exposes Pope Francis:
Sarah was appointed Cardinal by Pope Benedict XVI in 2010.
Those 9 men represent the front runners to become the next Pope.
But what does that mean? And more importantly, what does it mean within the bigger picture of the great awakening?
Before I get there, I want to discuss one more possibility - no matter how small that possibility is.
Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano - Italy
Now, let me be very clear: The odds of this happening are almost slim to none. A 1% chance of success is even being quite generous as far as odds go. However, given his connection to the movement, and his mentions by Q, I’d be a bit remiss if I didn’t bring Vigano up as a possibility.
Archbishop Vigano has been very outspoken about the corruption of the Church, both financial, and as it relates to covering up sexual crimes and abuses. In 2012 he publicized the Vatican leaks, and in 2018 he accused Pope Francis of covering up the sexual abuse carried out by Cardinal McCarrick.
Vigano, as a result, was accused of schism, found guilty, and excommunicated. This, in effect, means there is no way he can serve as Pope. The only option would be the College Of Cardinals reinstating him as an Archbishop, but seeing as how that has NEVER happened, it is very unlikely that it will.
As much as we would all love to see it, I do believe that Vigano’s role in all of this was to be the mouthpiece with enough clout to expose the Church.
Archbishop Vigano takes a blow torch to Pope Francis and the Catholic Church:
But that brings me back to the previous question: How does the election of a new Pope play into the great awakening?
Well, we know that in order to root out all the corruption we are up against and restore order to the world, the Catholic Church cannot be ignored. Its power and corruption have long been a major tool for the globalists in their mission to gain control over everything and everyone.
Now, what I am about to posit is a bit out there, and will be hard to contemplate. So I’m gonna need you to suspend disbelief and affix your tin foil hats now.
Many of us believe that Joe Biden was, at the least, allowed to win and may even to some degree (or full degree is that’s your bag) have been controlled. The reason being is that as awful as he was, all he accomplished was to further expose the deep state and put their motives and mission on front street for all to see.
What if … What if, Pope Francis was the same - except for the Catholic Church?
Am I saying he was/is a white hat. NO. Not at all. What I am saying, is that he was in one of the most powerful positions in the world, one which had long been held by the deep state. Logic would dictate that at some point, the good guys would have found a way to get to that throne to expose the Church in order to rebuild it. The same as we have seen here in America with so many institutions being exposed for what they truly are.
You simply cannot ignore the Catholic Church and just hope it fixes itself. That isn’t how you’d go about pulling off a great awakening world wide. The Church simply has too much money and too much power to be ignored or left to their own devices.
So when would this control have been exerted over The Pope and the Church?
Well, I believe Q already told us.
“[Pope] will be having a terrible May”
I believe this already happened. This was almost a “past proves future” as opposed to “future proves past”.
Why?
Do you guys and gals remember this?
Melania, Ivanka and President Trump all look like they are at a funeral. Meanwhile, the body language of Pope Francis screams utter defeat and capitulation.
Here is a brief clip:
When did this meeting happen?
It happened in May of 2017. 5 months before Q would even begin posting, but I also believe this is when Pope Francis realized (or was told) that he was no longer in control.
To be specific, they met on May 24th. There are a few deltas on May 24th, but this one caught my eye the most:
“Only when information [truth] becomes free [uncontrolled] will people awaken to the levers of control placed upon them.”
Y’all do realize that one of the biggest institutions that has hidden the truth from humanity is the Catholic Church, yes? God only knows what they have kept hidden in the archives - not to mention they have more than enough wealth to conceal and cover-up anything they damn well please.
Case in point: Cardinal McCarrick.
So now let’s circle back to some of these candidates.
Specifically Erdo, Eijk, Burke and Sarah were ALL appointed by Pope Benedict XVI. And these are all men that have a very good chance of becoming the next Pope.
Why did Pope Benedict XVI step down? Why did he choose the name “Benedict” - I know the reason he gave - but was the real reason a bit more symbolic, as in “Benedict Arnold”? Did Pope Benedict have a hand in setting the stage for exposure within the Church? Did he set the stage for these conservative Cardinals to be in a position to become Pope?
We will likely never know, and Pope Benedict had his own troubles to deal with (hello, Hitler Youth), but at the same time - we cannot prescribe to believing certain people were put in positions specifically to fail and create exposure without contemplating the same thing about the Catholic Church - and again I go back to Joe Biden’s residency as an example of this without entertaining the notion that the same was being done in the Church.
Do we really believe white hats/good guys would ignore the Church, and not have some sort of plan or fallback in place for it? We know the plan we are witnessing goes back decades, so is it really impossible to believe that white hats began the same process with the Church that they began with politics at around the same time?
Pope Francis was pressured very hard from 2019-2022 to increase the size of the College Of Cardinals. He wouldn’t do it. He was also pressured to stack the College with leftists Cardinals, which he also refused to do.
Now think of how absurd some of his positions have been. Particularly with homosexuality, and the transgender agenda. Not to mention his stances on conception, and birth control.
Everything this dude has done has been equally as absurd as Biden, and it has all served to accelerate the exposure of the Catholic Church.
And all of these actions came AFTER the meeting with President Trump - almost as if that was when he was told he was gonna play by our rules, or else.
So when is the Pope going to have a “bad May”? Frens, I think he already had it, and I believe the reason he had a bad May was because he found out he was not going to be in control of the Church and that full exposure was coming.
What happens from here is anyone’s guess - But, if one of Erdo, Eijk, Burke, Besungu, or Sarah become the next Pope, then I will have even more reason to believe that this operation we are all a part of had the Catholic Church in mind and under control long before any of us realized it. And to be honest? That only makes sense.
The Vatican is one of the heads of the snake, and you simply cannot move forward in the great awakening without cleaning out the Church.
And that is why I believe the next part of this movie will involve the full on exposure and cleaning up of the Catholic Church - the same way which we are witnessing with our politics here in America.
